Nokia Lumia 900

The Lumia 900 is one of Nokia’s gambles to ensure survival in the harsh smartphone market.

Design
The Lumia 900 seems to share Lumia 800’s quirky design. It still has the same general layout with similar placements of ports and buttons. The dedicated camera keys, power button and volume rocker are placed on the right side of the phone. MicroUSB port and 3.5 headphone jack can be found on the top.

Display
The Nokia Lumia 900 comes with a 4.3” WVGA ClearBlack display and users should be able to use the display easily outdoors. The simplicity of Windows Phone 7.5 makes the overall experience feels wonderful.

Performance
Users should contend with 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon sngle-core processor and 512MB of RAM, which can’t be easily underestimated. The phone’s performance is generally remarkable, thanks to the efficient, undemanding operating system. Although the processor isn’t exactly speedy by today’s standard, interface runs quite smoothly.

Camera
The Nokia Lumia 900 comes with an 8Mp rear-facing camera and the same f/2.2 Carl Zeiss lens that’s also used by the Lumia 800 and N8. Both professionals and beginners would appreciate the intelligent sensor with its ability to capture vivid images. The dedicated camera can also be used to wake the phone up.

Software
Those familiar with Windows Phone’s underpinnings may not find significantly the Lumia 900 looks unique. All told, user experience should be fluid and intuitive.

Verdict
Standing imposingly with its 4.3” display, the Lumia 900 was Nokia’s smartphone with LTE support. With its higher-end features and considerable marketing push, the phone is expected to bring a significant change. The Nokia Lumia 900 is a nice addition to the increasingly large lineup of 4G capable smartphone. The phone is a winner if you want reliable photography capability, attractive polycarbonate case and legible display.
